Let's all meet at Sengkang MRT's control station @ 8:45am. PLEASE DON'T BE LATE ELSE WE'LL LEAVE W/O YOU. Then we will walk over to the field (anchorvale).
Theme of the hat will be SUPERHERO vs VILLAIN, and each "superhero/villian" will have to wear their own colour of jersey for identification purposes.

Team A: ICEMAN (white)

Phase 2 starts at 1:45 PM SHARP
Every game last for 70mins or ends at 15 points, with 15 mins break before next game. Total 2 hr 35 mins for phase 2 for both pool A & B
End at 4:20pm.

Hey freshies! In case some of you didn't catch what we mentioned during the debrief today after training, this Saturday (30th) we're having training at the school main field. Those who are interested in joining us, you guys can come at 11am. You all will have a chance to scrimmage with the seniors, and also, we fixing your backhand and forehand throws.

Otherwise, we'll see everyone of you on the field next Tuesday (3rd May), 5pm at the main field! For those who end class at 6pm, you can join us after your lessons too! One issue that I'd like to raise is that, each time any of the committee member text you with regards about NPU, and that a reply from you is required, I hope you guys will be responsible enough to reply the moment you saw the message. Message was sent to you, and it's your job to reply it. It's not a tough isn't it?

Also, if you can't make it for trainings, please text Alvan/Ivan or any of the committee members at least 24 hours before the training day. And if you're going to be late for trainings, also take the initiative to inform either of us.

What's a TEAM?

To me, Team is not a ‘class’. Not a place where you leave after you have learnt something from the ‘lesson’.

Team is a group of people coming together to overcome challenges. In a team, people look out for each other and improve together. Teammates train together, having fun at the same time. Teammates exchange pointers but never to bear grudge.

This is what I call teammates. The bond between teammates does not appear suddenly, it takes time and effort to build it. It takes time to be strengthened. If you have that bond, I will proudly announce you as my teammate.

So, if you think that you are my teammate just by coming to trainings as and when you want, or appearing once every blue moon.

Think again, are you really my teammate?

Hey NPU. There'll be a training camp this coming December holidays. From the 18th to the 21st. Desmond will be posting up the indemnity form soon, so please download it and bring it on Monday's training.

There's no camp on the 18th because it's Angella's birthday. So, camp starts officially on the 19th, in the afternoon. BUT however, we need some people to stay at The Loft on the 18th because since we've already booked The Loft, and there's a need to book in and etc.

Hi NPU,

There WILL be training this Thursday, 25th Nov, at Kismis Field. Polympics is cancelled on that day.
Remember bring shoes, water, & disc if you have one. Thanks.

& on Saturday, 27th Nov, there WONT be training. Instead, the Polympics Finals, Helpers will be required to report at 8am, at Grandstand. Anyone who is free can come down and help out also.
& Please wear proper sports attire if you're coming down to help out. Strictly NO SLIPPERS. The Finals will be held at Kismis also. So, NO CLEATS/BOOTS.

Lastly, Next Tuesday, 30th Nov will be the AGM (Annual General Meeting). Current year3 committees will step down, and new committees will be introduced. It will be held at LT51C (the one below makan place) at 6pm. It's COMPULSORY for EVERYONE. There will be CCA point & also some refreshments after that. So please keep that day free.

Hey all!

IVP is only 5 months away! So, starting next monday's (18th) training, desmond goh and i will be monitoring your progress till the end of this year. A training squad of roughly 30 to 35 people will be selected to train for ivp. From that squad we will select 15 guys and 10 girls for IVP. Also, especially now, in your free time, do PT at home so we do not need to take time off trainings to run oxy's PT.

1st warning for violation of Rules on 27 Sept 2010

Hi everyone,

During the meeting held on 2 Sept with all CCA clubs, the rules of clubs and the consequences of the violations were clearly spelt out. Students must be properly attired for the games at all times.
On 27/9, some of the members of the club were caught playing Frisbee in the Sports Hall without proper attire. They were in slippers.

The club has been slapped with a 1st warning. This warning will remain in the Club's record for a period of 2 years.

Do remind your members of the serious consequences of violating the rule. Get the members to adhere to the rule. As a club, you would want to look "professional" and class; not a sloppy club. It is also safer to play with proper attire to prevent injury.

On 2 Oct, a member of the club was spotted wearing slippers on the main field. Although he was not playing but coaching, He still has to project the right image. A reminder was given.

Everyone has to do their part for the club.

for those who don't know what is winter league, it's a competition where we sign up either individually in the sorcerer's league for the seniors, or with a buddy in the apprentice's league for the juniors. they will group us together with other random people who have signed up, so you will get to meet new friends and learn new things from other experienced players.

1. meet 10am at Grandstand tmr(excluding camp GLs and comm members), PLEASE DONT BE LATE.
2. bring enough money for food for all 3 days. 50 should be more than enough.
3. bring enough shirts for all 3 days. there's afternoon and night activity. so about 5 sets(including sleeping attire). shirts mix around white and dark. about 3 white 3 dark. oh, pls bring jacket along too cos the loft will be VERY COLD.

This coming Monday(26/4/2010), NPU will be holding a clinic session from 5pm till 8pm @ Kismis Field, whereby the seniors of the club will be teaching you guys the basics of Ultimate Frisbee.

For those that do not know where Kismis Field is, go to http://npmap.np.edu.sg/ and locate Sports Complex. You'll notice a overhead bridge, and across the PIE is Kismis Field.
Blk 18 is Canteen 2.

To facilitate movement, NPU will meet you guys at the Grandstand(the steps at Main Field) at 4.30pm. Just look out for people wearing the NPU jersey or people throwing discs.
For those whose lessons only end at 5pm or later and have no idea how to go to Kismis Field, feel free to call/sms our captain(Alfred) @ 90105785 to arrange a meet up with him and he'll bring you guys to the field.

Lastly, please be in sports attire and shoes and bring along your water bottles. There's a water cooler and two vending machines at Kismis Field. You guys might want to bring along an extra shirt to change to after training. Lastly, for those who are interested, we will be having dinner at the nearby Bukit Timah Market after training. Next Saturday - 27th March, meet at 7am at Yio Chu Kang MRT.

Players are required to bring BOTH running/turf shoes and boots for 27 March 2010 as the Plate knockout games will be held at the Nanyang Polytechnic Hockey Pitch. Plate finals will be played at the Nanyang Polytechnic Field. For safety reasons, barefoot playing will not be allowed.

The target for npu is plate champions at least.

Ok Alfred wanted a crest.
Just thought I'd draw something to inspire all of you to do something.
I came up with this in like, 30 seconds, so don't think too much of it.

Let me just explain:
NP- NgeeAnn Poly. (Duh)
Big thing below NP-
1) its a big U, for ultimate
2) its a big grin (because we are friendly)
3) its a shadow of a disc (very big, white shadow)

If any of you are feeling the creative juices flow just by looking at this,
please design with the following guidelines.
1) Something that will look good in the center of our jersey. (like the winter league tee)
2) Something that represents us. (why my cute aliens won't work here)

To readdress everything,

NORMAL TRAINING: 27 Feb, BOOTS UP BY 10am. MAIN Field.

TEEN GAMES: Those that cannot make it please let Ivan know, BEFORE FRIDAY, 12pm, so that he can exclude you from the teamings.

Jersey numbers, settled so far.
Second set will not be made for now. Wanted to get the shirts before IVP but seems like its not possible, hence when everything is confirmed we will get them first. And when the new intake comes in, we will make the jersey for them, and those that want the second set can make again then.

as you guys can see, Mon and Thurs trainings are held at WCPark, and Sat trainings will be at Admin/Main field, 10am - 5pm, with 1 hour lunch break in between.

Hi NPU peeps, we will be having training for IVP this coming two weeks of Saturday. The location will be at Sengkang Winter League Field. I want everyone to reach there and boots up by 10am. There's a single gender tournament coming up around april-may. Details unconfirmed. Train hard everyone. Looking at sending two teams.

Open House, those with the birthday cards please bring them along. I'll keep everything at the end of the day and return it to you guys at the end of the open house.

Please wear club related attire for Open House(NPU shirt). Preferably, do not wear slippers. Especially for those that are staying for the whole day. Those that will be there in the morning meet at admin field at 10.30am

Team dinner tomorrow(7/1/2010) is confirmed at madjack. Meet 6pm at the admin field and we'll take a bus there together.

I managed to get us a set dinner at 12 each which will have a fixed soup and dessert of the day, drinks and a main course.

Drinks wise would be can drinks, and if any of you wants to change it to any smoothies or any juices it will cost an additional $2.

Main course wise would be any food item on the menu that is $8.90 and less. If you want to change your main course to any other, you would have to top up.
For example, their ribeye costs $13.90 so you'll have to top up $5. Their beef lasagne costs $9.90 and you'll have to top up $1.
One thing to note is that you do not have to topup for the blue mountain burger with chips.

Any ala carte orders will have an additional 10% discount.

Money wise will be settled after dinner(no im not going to pay first, i'll collect the money from you guys when the dinner ends). Ala carte orders its preferred if you make the order at the counter and pay first to avoid any confusion.

Open House 2010 is confirmed from 7th - 9th January from 11am to 6pm. Please go and help out whenever you can.

There's a small duty roster to follow so as to give you all cca points and excuse letters. But i'll still hope that those are free will come down to help out and all, especially on thursday afternoon and saturday.

On thursday(7/1/2010), in place of training, we will be having a team dinner at Mad Jacks Cafe @ 6 Duke’s Rd (Bukit Timah Rd before Coronation Plaza / Crown Centre), so probably from like 7pm-9/10pm
Price range will be about $10 +/- $5.
I'll try to get at like 15% discount for everyone or maybe even some party package or something. IT IS COMPULSARY FOR ALL.
