CCA Ts

Upon considerable suggestions and opinion voiced by our lovely members, the passion and love for the sport has been rekindled to a higher level than it was before, and I've done up a (in my personal opinion) much better design than the plain ol' tee that is visible below.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand presenting:

(Top: Front; Bottom: Back)

Back: The Red "1" represents the love for the sport, as well as the bond we share as a club, while the Gold for "Ngee Ann Frisbee" represents royalty.

Thanks for the many suggestions that were provided, you know where credit is due.

-addon-
WE'RE STILL OPEN FOR DESIGNS, DO SEND IT IN IF YOU THINK YOU:
1 - CAN DO BETTER
2 - DISLIKE THIS DESIGN
3 - ALL OF THE ABOVE

Do do so, so (not typo, nor are you seeing wrongly) that we could collate the results, and have a vote on which design would suit you guys better. :)

DEADLINE: 10TH NOV '08
DON'T FORGET:
Your name
Your design (we know people can get forgetful)

Sem 2, Week 3.1;

Todaaaaaaaaaaay...

We had guests! And I'd like to thank the people for playing a good game with us, as well as teaching us some valuable lessons we'll never have (if we continued playing against ourselves, the small number we have).

Good news, we're considering better discs. Aaaaaand... We're looking at a new experience for Ultimate, and I've got some plans up my sleeves.

Just to drop a hint, the moment I have the figures, I'll await approval from my higher-ups and we can all have a shirt that reads:

And until then (till i figure the color codes for home and away, and until Joel gives me a design for Recre), that's all I have!

Juicy stuff upcoming, that I promise.

Motivational Video

A rough idea of how Ultimate Frisbee goes for any first timer.
I was told somebody asked on hardwarezone
if it was a sport for sissies.
Unless you are more agile than the players in this video,
don't insult our SIG. Period.

Semester 2 Week 3.1

Dear Recreational members,

Joel Cheng is now your official in charge.
Meaning Ian, Gabriel and Weemun would not be handling anything related to recreational.
Contact gamers2000@hotmail.com for recreational inquiries.

Dear Competitive members,

There will be training this Monday
Time: 10-12.
Location: Kismis field.
Rule: No slippers please.
I don't care if you wear singlet and boxer shorts to the field.
Just don't play in slippers please =)

Dear All,

Those who haven't given me your contact information, please do.
Add me on my MSN and give it to me. (don't be silly and display it on the tagboard)
Else don't blame me for last minute un-notified cancellation.
In case of last minute mails,
I'll also have to send out last minute SMS's to get you guys to check the last minute mails.
There will most probably be an outing after the Monday training.
Let us know if you're able to make it.
Details will be given later, but just let us know if you're free after 1.
Poll's above the tagboard.
Depending on the response, this outing may or may not exist.

Dear Outsiders,

To join NP Frisbee, follow the steps given.
1. Add gchan_kidface_90@msn.com on instant messenger.
2. Give him your FULL NAME, Student Number, Email address, and Contact Number.
3. Come for the following training.

Dear hehe,

Haha.

Semester 2 Week 2.2

The new Kismis field, complete with fake looking grass.
All that's missing is people playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Courtesy of Ang Weemun.

Announcements:
Training as usual, just like I said in the previous mail.
Unless it rains of course.
This week will be the last week of training for the previous plan.
We're changing the time slots to accommodate the competitive players.

MONDAYS- Competitive
THURSDAYS- Recreational
*with effect from 27 October*

And those who didn't turn up
Please state why in the tagboard.
If you had something on, tell me.
If you were sick, tell me.
If you quit, tell me.

So we won't have to waste time hosting a session for you
when only a handful bother to show up.

About the tagboard,
whoever tagged that porn site on it,
please stop it.

Semester 2 Week 2.1

Hi friends,

First- an explanation on last Friday.
It was drizzling, not that we're afraid of the rain, but our plan was to run round the campus.
With the floor slippery, the risks of having one of you fall and scrape your legs against concrete ground is rather high.
Sorry if any of you ended early on that day and waited for nothing.
We, the HRs, also had to find ways to burn time away until it started drizzling.

Second- time changes.
Due to some unknown reason, our Thursday and Friday time slots were snatched from us.
Instead, we were given Mondays and Thursdays.
We have decided to give
Mondays to the recreational members and
Thursdays for competitive training.
Its the raining season soon, so please invest in caps to shield your head in case of drizzle.
Don't want any of you catching a cold.

Third- training session tomorrow.
For recreational.
5-7 at Kismis field.
Say hello to the trial committee.
We'll host a match, so competitive members, feel free to come and train for the matches in the future.

Forth- Frisbee blog.
Will be made to store all my painfully written mass message that you all don't bother to read in full.
Updates will be there,
and a tagboard so you guys can discuss things there among yourselves (mini group meet ups etc)
Coming up soon, url will most likely be np-frisbee.blogspot.com
provided it ain't taken.
