Debrief update
Firstly, well done to Ian for the new blog look! A good start for the semester ahead. Today we had a turnout of 10 people, not a bad number, considering our turnout for holiday trainings. I appreciate your effort to train with us. =) We did not have debrief, so below are some pointers to note for those who came for the training, and for those who could not make it. 1. I apologise for the mushroom drill today. The explanation was not very clear, and the demo made it worse. I'm sorry for that. But thanks to the good effort you guys put in, the drill went rather smoothly after that break we had, although we didn't get consecutive 3 cycles done. We'll polish it in time to come. 2. We had the main field for training today. But that's only because other CCAs are not using (despite the occupied time slot in the booking list). We're trying very hard to fight for the main field, however the school needs to see some results (winning competitions). So guys, we have to really work hard next sem. 3. After much discussion, we've decided to introduce some new protocols into our club. It will improve the flow of our trainings in future. - Bring a water bottle EVERY TRAINING (sufficient for your OWN consumption - no borrowing or going to the water cooler unnecessary) - Bring 2 teeshirts EVERY TRAINING. 1 dark, 1 white coloured tee. For identification purposes during matches - Bring a towel. Not compulsory, but it's good not to go home after training smelling like #@$%!$%@ That's all for the debrief. There'll probably be a training next Monday (location to be confirmed). Training is on, unless there're updates that it's cancelled. HongZhou Hello guys, Ian here! first and foremost, i'd like to thank the new guys for checking the blog constantly! of which, brings me to my next point. if these guys, new members, can be so enthusiastic, as to come down early for training, and to check the blog regularly, i believe us seniors in the club, can do much better than that, right? (: My next motive to this snippet of a post, is to declare.. Alfred Lim, Member of Ngee Ann Ultimate, as Newly Promoted Master of Organizing Equipment and Other Physical Materials of NPU! Welcome him to the committee! Cheers, Ian Ding Renjie. posted by NPU at

We're moving
Life is like a game of ultimate frisbee. you run, you dash, you chase. it depends on how hard you want the disc, you snap the disc, you grab the disc, you huck the disc. and in the midst of your pursuit of the disc, if you want it badly enough, how badly do you want it? its all in your mind. grab. huck. score. ------------------------------------------------- as with the title, we're gonna be moving off to another site. till then. we're also pulling out of the IVP. FYI, Cheers, posted by NPU at

Training was good today, and i greatly appreciate the fact that such a large number turned up! I sincerely hope that this number would be consistent, as me and my committee have planned out some great stuff. (: As such, i think that with all due respect, an explanation as to why we did the Suicide Drill is to be given. As the name implies, suicide drills, or suicides, are not for the faint of heart. However they are a terrific exercise for building cardiovascular strength, speed and agility. Few other exercises can boast this range of impact. Running suicides is a great way to get in a diverse workout in under 15 minutes, and we managed to clear the distance (although short), all within a minute. Good job guys! Aaaaaaaand as a reward (i suppose), I'll feed you guys with more information on how to play the sport better! Please click HERE! Cheers, Ian Ding Renjie. posted by NPU at
