Just a gentle reminder to all members of NPU.
AGM is this Monday.
Time: Be there by 5.30pm latest. Those that end at 6 come immediately after class
Location: LT 51C (under makan place)
Dress code: whatever you wear to school normally.
preferably not our jersey. I'm sure you have other things to wear.

Catering wise, our budget's too tight, so we won't be able to provide a proper meal for everyone.
Instead, we will have light refreshments and dinner afterwards some place else.
I'm thinking Alumni club house, but its too be confirmed.

Oh yeah, don't forget to start designing our NPU jersey and logo.
Have a nice weekend.

[update]
HI GUYZ. Apparently the galz are dressing up.
Literally, DRESS-ing.
As such, please try not to be in slippers and shorts.
They wanna look good in the group picture, and so shall you.
Jeans, and covered shoes.
Top, I don't care if you wear a shirt, a polo, or a tee.
Singlet, or topless also can.
Just let me know, and I might follow suit.
You could even copy Ris Low and wear a 'biggini and just strut down Orchard road'.

Cya all.

Let the creative juice flow, people.
Submit them to me and I'll compile them up for votes.
Show us how much you love the club. =D

Hello friends

You are cordially invited to our AGM next Monday.
(an invitation you CANNOT turn down)
Time: 6:15 (to buy time for those who end at 6)
Venue: LT 51C (under makan place if not wrong)
We may or may not cater for your dinner.
To be confirmed this Thursday.

F.A.Qs

What is the AGM about?
Basically we'll just be doing a brief history of the club. Know your roots and stuff.
Followed by the goodbyes and stepping down of our beloved Ian Ding (starter of the club) and yours sincerely.
We'll then introduce the new committee who would carry on our blood sweat and tears.

What if I don't go?
Then you won't receive free CCA points. And if you're in the committee, your position will be forfeited. If you have a valid reason to not show up, please let me know personally, MSN or phone will do. Not Desmond, not anybody else, me. teehee

Who are expected to show up?
All current committee members and every active member of NPU. As long as you're in Ngee Ann, held the disc with Ivan shouting "N.P.U.", and managed to read this post, you are invited.

What to wear?
Something presentable. Not too sloppy, not too formal. Because there will be a photo taking session after everything. Take it as a farewell (or good riddance) thing for Ian and I.

Notified weeks in advance.
Confirmed a week in advance.
DON'T SAY YOU DON'T KNOW. =)

  • League starts — 29th November 2009
  • League Ends — 7th March 2010
  • Finals weekend — 13th &14th March 2010
*Disclaimer: the above schedule is an outline and may be subject to change.

  • Weekly league games will be held each Sunday beginning from 29 November 2009 until 7 March 2010. Players are advised to keep 29 November 2009 free as team captains will only be informed of whether their team will be playing on the first week during the draft night on 20/21 November 2009.

The league will end with a Finals Playoff Tournament which will be a two day event falling on 13 & 14 March 2010. Regardless of the performance during the league, every team will have a chance to compete to be “Finals’ Champion”.

  • Games will be held on Sunday afternoons. For the regular season, there are two sessions allotted each day:

    - Early sessions are from 2.30pm to 4.15pm

    - Late sessions are from 4.30pm to 6.15pm

Each session lasting 105 minutes should be sufficient for the completion of each game which includes a half-time break (10 minutes), 3 time-outs (2 minutes each) and “hard-cap”.

“Hard-cap” is the ending of a game once a predetermined time for the game has elapsed and after the current scoring attempt is completed. If the score is tied at such point in time, the teams play until one additional point is scored.

Details of the Finals Playoff Tournament will be provided later.

On the afternoon of 14 March 2009, for the first time ever there will be an all-star “rookie game” between two teams made up of the best-newcomers (i.e players who are playing in their first league). These two rookie teams will accordingly be captained by the two most inspiring captains of the league.

League Party/Prize presentation will be held on 13 March 2010.

During the duration of the league, teams may play ‘double headers’ (i.e. back-to-back games played on one day).

  • Half-time occurs when one team first reaches, or exceeds, half the game total score, or half of Hard Cap time allocated. E.g. during a league game, half-time occurs at either 7 points or at 35 mins, whichever occurs first. Half-time lasts 10 mins

Hello Committee members
(Alfred Aaron Bob Desmond Hechen Hongzhou Ian Ian Ivan Khalis Lionel Yesheng)

A pre-AGM meeting will be held at 6pm, this Wednesday, at our school's library (Beethoven).
School end early and don't wanna go home?
Give me a call, we'll chill at my project place.
This has been posted 2 days prior to the meeting, and most of you were told last week.
So...
DON'T SAY YOU DON'T KNOW (^_^),\/,,

What to bring:
An active mind.
A disciplined attitude (too much sidetracks and Imma slam table)
Things that you wanna discuss regarding the club situation.

As you all know, I'm a nice guy.
BUT if you fail to take this seriously,
you are not serious enough to remain in the comm.
Kiss goodbye to your alumni 2010 membership.
Simple as that.

Teehee.

Hello friends

Message for the committee.
I have sent an email to you with regards to a discussion between some of us.
It will take some time to read so I suggest you do it slow and give your full attention to it.
Stop chatting with girls for awhile, just devote 10 minutes to it.
Those of you unable to open up your email, give me a nudge on MSN for both emails.
No excuses for not receiving my materials.
I'll get Ivan to give you die.
Don't say you don't know.

Message to everyone.
For those of you who didn't turn up for the last training and chilling session yesterday.
I regret to inform you that Aaron Goh has decided to step down from vice captain-ship.
In his stead would be Desmond Goh. (It's the Goh dynasty)
Since there's nothing much to do as a vice captain, Desmond would continue his minute job of taking the attendance.
Any reason for not attending training, do let him know.
Storeman (saikang warrior) wise, Alfred will continue bringing the discs and cones, but if any of you wants to play songs during training, get the keys from Alfred to get the speakers from the club cupboard.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33418663/ns/health-fitness/
The above is a website about working out with music.
Do check it out during your free time.
The higher the BPM, the better the performance.
As of now I think I'm certified to blast house music during training.
Well, techno has an even higher BPM, but I think house beats are less headache inducing for the intolerant.
Unless you have anything with a higher BPM, strictly no complaining.
I won't play it throughout, might use some black music with decent BPMs instead.
FYI, bpm = beats per minute.
Approval pending. Your only way out is to psycho Alfred to reject my proposal.

TYVM & HAND
(Thank you very much & have a nice day)
